My first two pregnancies were veiled with blissful ignorance. Since then, I’ve watched my friends experience infertility, miscarriage, traumatic birth experiences, and long NICU stays. Before, I didn’t know what I didn’t know. But now I do. I spent the early weeks of my pregnancy anxious in a way I’ve never been before.
