I’ve always loved the look of book ledges in kids’ rooms. And let’s be honest, it’s just one more area to style for each and every holiday, which is something I truly love and enjoy.
I had been so excited for Caroline to start preschool this year but with the uncertainty around COVID, we ultimately decided to homeschool. I’ve been looking for little ways to make this time fun for her and Elyce and our book nook been the perfect addition. We pulled out all our STEM and school-centric books as well as rented a bunch of new ones from the library.
I also made this felt banner for $2.73 I love how it turned out. Ever since Caroline was born I’ve been making a simple banner for each holiday to hang on the girls’ bedroom door. I never thought they noticed until this past Valentine’s Day when I took down the heart garland and totally out of the blue Caroline said, “mommy what happened to my heart banner? I really liked it.” I couldn’t be more proud to have another holiday lover on my hands.
