Today kicks off my favorite three months of the year. I always have an extra spring in my step come October 1. With the added bonus of starting my job don’t be surprised if I am high fiving people walking down the street. I expect life will be all rainbows, unicorns and daisies until at least January 1, 2012.
Here are some of my favorite things from my favorite months…
October: Halloween costumes, candy corn, fall flavored fro-yo, college football, pumpkin flavored everything, secretly wearing festive holiday socks (and those awkward moments they peek out of your pants and everyone sees you have witches and goblins on your feet. #mature), mulling spices.
November: Stuffing, “Eatin’ Pants” (I hope you all got that Joey from Friends reference), secretly starting to listen to Christmas music, leftovers, pumpkin pie, Trey being thankful for his best friend, Tucker.
December: Openly listening to Christmas music! Seeing Shelley’s Christmas decorations, finding and gifting the perfect presents, holiday parties, NYE plans, party dresses, monkey bread, the glow of Christmas lights through my bedroom window, singing “You’re a mean one Mr. Grinch” from memory and always mispronouncing sauerkraut.
