2021 Boo Baskets

Spooky Szn is here! The girls woke up to their Boo ‘Baskets’ yesterday morning, a tradition that now feels like the kick-off to the season. Every year I get the girls seasonal jammies, a new Halloween book, and some inexpensive crafts. It would be easy to just pull these things out of the bag Amazon box and hand them to the girls but instead, I started spending the extra 10 minutes to wrap it all up and make it a memory.

This year I wanted seasonal PJs that would work for both Halloween and Thanksgiving so I opted for this pair of Burt’s Bees. They’re sold out but restocking soon. This apple pie print is also a good generic fall option. Both girls got a book to add to our holiday library – Boo Stew and Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn. Lastly, I always add some of their favorite craft items – window clings and a paintable ceramic haunted house from the Target Dollar Spot, a paintable wooden shape from the Dollar Tree, and a Halloween coloring book

The houses were painted by 8:30 am and the window clings shortly thereafter. It’s fun to see the girls get excited about something so simple and such an easy way to celebrate the season with little ones. If you’d like more fun ideas, check out my 2020 Boo Baskets blog post.
