A couple of months ago it just hit me, we’re out of the diaper bag phase. (Although, not for long!) We were leaving the house and all I grabbed was my wallet, phone, keys, masks, and we all carried our own water bottles. It was such a weird realization after 4 1/2 years of needing a bag full of stuff just to run an errand.
All my over-the-shoulder purses seem ridiculously big now that I’m no longer commuting to San Francisco with a computer, lunch, flats, etc. So, I find myself just holding everything as we go in stores which is far from ideal when I have a 3-year-old who still wants to be carried now and again. I’d been looking around at all price points but took awhile to pull the trigger on a bag. I wanted it to be big enough to fit my regular-sized wallet so I don’t have to take out specific cards just to run a quick errand but not so big it’s a bottomless pit.
TL;DR I needed a crossbody bag. But finding the perfect one was harder than I thought. Here’s what I was eyeing, and the one I ended up buying.
